Monthly ritual

Values Moment

Open a regular leadership or all-hands meeting with a two-minute true story of a value in action.

Why it matters

Keeps values alive by connecting them to real decisions, and signals that leaders care about how results are achieved, not just what is achieved.

How to run it

  1. Rotate the storyteller so it isn't always a senior leader.
  2. Use the structure: situation → choice → which value guided it → what happened.
  3. Keep it to two minutes. Brevity makes it memorable.
  4. Ask one question: "Where else could this value help us this month?"

Watch out for

  • Leaders telling stories about themselves — spotlight others
  • Polished corporate case studies instead of honest, small moments

When not to use it

If the values themselves are disputed or being redefined — fix that conversation first.
