Why it matters
Expertise often sits inside one team while another struggles with the exact problem it could solve. The Clasp creates a regular, structured moment where real needs meet real strengths across team boundaries.
How to run it
- Prepare. Each team brings one real request it needs help with, and one strength it could offer another team.
- Share requests and strengths quickly, round the room.
- Clasp. Match each request with another team's strength — a "clasp" between the two.
- Agree the next step. Who will help whom, with what, by when.
- Review next time. Did the request produce useful cross-team help? Celebrate the clasps that worked.

Watch out for
- Hypothetical or vague requests — bring something you actually need help with
- Matches with no owner or date, which quietly fade
When not to use it
When teams have no time or authority to help each other — fix capacity first, or the ritual creates promises nobody can keep.
